Sens Sagna Sens Sagna is an inspirational, graceful teacher and performer of dance and song from Cassamance, Senegal, West Africa. Sens and Iya have become good friends and have developed a mutually respectful working relationship through regular performances at various events with Tanante.

Tanante Tanante are a Manchester based group of six very talented performers of West African rhythms. They are good friends, colleagues and students of Iya Sako and regularly give amazing performances together. Check out events and services pages for more information.

In Memory of James Brown (1979 - 2008)

James was the founding member of Tanante and Drumroots and a truly inspirational and talented Djembé Fola and friend. He is dearly missed by all of us who knew him and performed with him.
