The whole event runs for 3 days and 2 nights. A weekend of performances from Britain and abroad around the picturesque lake in Platt Fields Park, Manchester. The international programme features companies from Germany, Belgium, France, India and Egypt as well as leading acts from the UK with a number of world premieres. Games, workshops and activities are on offer for all ages, and Friday and Saturday evening will culminate with a special and dazzling finale. Extraordinary and atmospheric FEAST! "AFRICAN BEATS CAMP" AFRICAN DRUM, DANCE & SONG SUMMER SCHOOL AT CAMERTON, NEAR BATH, SOMERSET
Djembé workshops and performances with Iya Sako throughout the week: Adults £180, 11-15 years £90, 5-10 years £45, under 5's free
ABC brings the music and dance of West Africa to you with a fantastic programme of workshops and evening entertainment. Set in the beautiful Cam Valley, this small friendly camp has an indoor hall with a bar, toilets and showers, plus outside camping and marquees. Tickets are restricted to 150, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Workshops booked in advance - no overcrowded workshops!
Sabar, Tama, Serouba, Bougarabou, Dundun, Djembé, Djembé soloing for dance, Soloing for the terrified, Ghanaian Drum, Song & Dance, African Dance (djembé), Sabar Dance, Ghanaian Balafon, Mandinka Songs with Kora, Bolon and Krin and kids activities.
